HEALTH BENEFITS OF SOURSOP

Soursop, the green fruit with the sweet, white pulp is not only known as a delicious fruit staple in the tropics, but as having health and medicinal benefits too. Native to South America and sub-Saharan parts of Africa, soursop is also cultivated throughout Southeast Asia, the Philippines, Indonesia and many parts of the Caribbean. It tends to flower and fruit on a continual basis.
The soursop’s heart-shaped, spiky exterior is not appealing in the least, but as they say, don’t judge a book by its cover, for this exotic fruit’s creamy white pulp is sweet and delicious and its health benefits ample.
While many people prefer to enjoy its sweet taste in a drink or in a creative dessert recipe such as cheesecake or ice cream, this sugary treat also have plenty of natural health benefits when eaten regularly. Some people even believe that soursop may be an effective treatment for cancer; however, there is no scientific evidence to back up those claims.

The Soursop Fruit, (also known as guanabana and guyabano), the fruit from the graviola tree, is believed to be a very good cancer preventive fruit. But why do we know so little about the health benefits of Soursop?

One simple reason, because health is a huge business for makers of drugs or synthetic medicine.

A lot of people are finding economical ways to protect themselves against diseases. Now, they have found out through research studies how powerful soursop is. Besides, it is delicious to eat.
Soursop has to be planted. Since it is only a tree, it can be easily planted in your backyard and give you fruits as it matures. Soursop is both natural and delicious. It has no side effects and it is an effective fruit that can do the job of synthetic medicines. Soursop can fight various diseases, but the ability to destroy the cancer is believed to be the most important reason why it should be given attention.
Soursop is not exclusive for cancer; it is also preferable in many bacterial and fungal infections, even with internal parasites and worms. Apart from these, it also lowers blood pressure and also effective against depression, stress and nervous disorders.
According to research, it is proven that the extract of soursop is effective in destroying the cancer safely and effectively with an all-natural therapy without causing nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite, hair loss and weight loss. It never damages your immune system and pulls you into deadly infections. A person can remain strong and healthy even during periods of treatment.
The compounds available in this tree have proven to be 10,000 times better in slowing the growth of cancer cells than Adriamycin, a known chemotherapeutic drug. This is according to some studies which were carried out. Moreover, it does not suggest depending solely on natural treatment. It would still be best to consult a doctor to monitor one’s condition.
